Dr. Naheed Mohamed is a Canadian Board-certified Periodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He received his dental training at Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine and went on to complete his post-graduate training in Periodontics at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Mohamed has particular interest in modern technology and minimally invasive approaches to surgery. He has focused on dental implant and related site development surgery through bone augmentation and reconstruction. He also provides numerous cosmetic procedures to enhance your smile aesthetics from smile design gum contouring to lip augmentation. Dr. Mohamed is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.  Dr Mohamed practices in Mississauga and Oakville.  
Course Description:
This lecture will focus on the cuttin edge and latest advances in periodontics and implantology. Focus will be placed on minimally invasive techniques along with the use of digital technology to facilitate surgery as well as patient treatment acceptance. The program will cover various topics which will include minimally invasive procedures like periodontal microsurgery for soft tissue grafting and bone regeneration, with the adjunctive use of growth factors, blood borne biological modifiers, and 3D printing. Modern implantology will be showcased though the use of digital technology to plan and execute bone reconstructions of alveolar defects in preparation for implants using CT scans, intra-oral scanners, facial scanners, and 3D printing. The use of computer guided surgery and live guided navigation will also be presented.
